COTTON & LINNEN
Cotton and linen garments are durable and can typically be washed at higher temperatures (40-60 degrees) depending on the item. However, to minimize wear and reduce water and energy consumption, we recommend washing as gently and cold as possible, always following the care instructions for each piece. Air drying your cotton and linen items outdoors in light rain or mist is a great way to conserve energy while allowing the fabric to breathe. For ironing, do so while the fabric is still slightly damp and use steam if necessary.
DENIM
Denim becomes more beautiful with age, especially when cared for properly by washing it sparingly. If washing is necessary, always do so separately, inside out, in cold water with minimal detergent. Hang denim to dry straight away, and avoid leaving it in the washing machine for extended periods. Alternatively, you can refresh your denim by placing it in the freezer or letting it hang outside for a few days.
GENERAL WASHING
To prolong the life of your garments and minimize environmental impact, we recommend washing as little as possible. Every wash causes wear, fades colors, and consumes energy and water. Instead of washing, try airing out your clothes, using a steamer, or spot treating stains. When washing is necessary, always check the care label, but opt for cooler temperatures (below 30°C) and a gentle spin cycle (max 600 RPM). For synthetic fabrics, use a microfiber washing bag to prevent microfibers from entering the water system. Choose a gentle, eco-friendly detergent without bleach, and avoid fabric softeners, which contain harmful chemicals. These simple practices will help preserve your garments, conserve resources, and reduce your environmental footprint.
DELICATE FABRICS
Delicate fabrics require extra care. We recommend washing your lace pieces in a laundry bag to protect them during washing.
